Internship (Sep 2024 - Feb 2025)

Supporting the People Strategy team in Organization Development and Talent Development & Culture initiatives across the Hijra Group, including Alami Teknologi Sharia, Bank Hijra, and Alami Fintek Sharia. This role encompasses three key areas:

  • Talent Development & Culture: Supporting engagement initiatives, onboarding programs, and maintaining the Training Matrix.
  • Organizational Development: Assisting with job analysis, updating organizational structures, and managing the Responsibility Matrix across functions.
  • People Strategy Analysis: Providing data insights to support strategic HR decision-making.

Scope of My Work

Responsibilities managed across core people functions

I supported several initiatives to strengthen employee experience and development:

  • Supported end-to-end training implementation, from planning and coordination to documentation and evaluation, for both internal and external learning programs.
  • Monitor and update the Training Matrix, ensuring accurate tracking of program schedules, completions, and budgets.
  • Assisted in onboarding sessions for new hires and coordinated engagement programs for new hires.
  • Supported culture campaigns that reinforced Hijra’s core values and encouraged collaboration across teams.
  • Designed internal communication materials (emailers, posters, internal posts) to promote people initiatives and cultural values.
  • Contributed ideas for People & Culture events that promote productivity, well-being, and internalization of company values.

In the OD stream, I contributed to several projects aimed at strengthening structural alignment and clarity within the ALAMI Group.

  • Updated and aligned the organizational structure across three entities, ensuring consistency in position codes and reporting lines.
  • Maintained and inputted the Master Employee Data as a single-source-of-truth (SSOT) employee database to support efficient HR operations.
  • Collaborated with departments to develop a Responsibility Matrix (RACI) that clarified inter-departmental roles and accountability.
  • Assisted in creating and consolidating job analysis forms for role clarification and later competency mapping.

I also supported the analytical and administrative backbone of the People Strategy Division.

  • Data Consolidation: Compiled and integrated HR data from multiple entities into a unified employee database for streamlined reporting.
  • Preparing presentation materials to support the People Strategy Analyst team in their work.
  • Administrative Support: Assisted in completing HR documentation requirements related to audits, compliance, and workforce requests.
